Coaches Game Reports are Now Available:
Coaches, please take a few moments to complete an
online game report that will help the league managers to improve our
referees' skills and the quality of our fields. Click on the
Game Report link to the left.
Field conditions:
Coaches, please help the league and the district keep the fields in good playing conditions:
Place the goals back in their proper position at the end of practice, if you have moved them around.
Follow the league policy on playing in bad weather.
Stop kids from hanging or pulling the nets down.
Encourage kids to pick up their snack/drink trash after the game.
Ensure that kids do not leave anything behind after games or practice; sweatshirts, bottles, balls, etc.
Please, contact the field Marshal assigned to your practice field to report any
issues with the field: long grass, torn or unsecured nets, etc.
Pine Lake Parking:
Please do not park on Wimberley place Street
The league has received several letters from residents on Wimberley place adjacent to the soccer fields.
They complain about lack of courtesy from soccer fans who park and double park on the small dead end street
resulting in blocking residents’ driveways for extended period of time. Some spectators were seen drive
on residents’ lawn while turning around to leave the fields. Others park at a fire hydrant which endangers
every resident in an emergency. Heavy and illegal parking endangers many kids who live in the area and those
who come to play soccer.
The residents have sent the league and the district pictures that support every claim they made.
You may think the street is a public area, but peoples’ driveway and lawn are NOT. The league is concerned
and asks every coach and parent to show the residents of Wimberley place the courtesy and good neighborly
manors they deserve.
The school parking is big enough to accommodate the largest crowd for a single game. If the issue continue
to occur the soccer league will certainly loose the right to use Pine Lake fields altogether at a time
when we badly need every field.
Below are the league rules for playing under bad weather:
- Check the BHYSL website for any announcement.
- Rain is not bad weather and is not grounds for the coach or the referee to stop the game, unless the field becomes unplayable.
- If the rain makes the field unplayable, the referee will stop the game. If he/she doesn't, you ask him/her.
- If both coaches want to stop the game, just ask referee. He will do just that.
- Make sure that referees, players and everyone else gets off the field if there is lightning or thunder.
- In case of Lightning OR Thunder, the referee will stop the game. If he/she does not, you should ask him/her to do so. The referee will wait 15 minutes after last time thunder is heard or lightening is seen before resuming the game.
- NO ONE SHOULD STAND UNDER TREES IN THE EVENT OF LIGHTNING AND THUNDER.
- The coaches DO NOT decide if it is OK to resume the game. The referee DOES.
- If the delay will extend to the next scheduled game, the referee will call that game. For example, thunder is heard with 10 minutes left in a game. The game should be stopped, and the game is complete.
STANDARD OF CONDUCT for COACHES:
Coaches, please take a few moments to read and sign the BHYSL Standard code of conduct and send
back to the BHYSL Office.
